I have a building with grids lines set out horizontally and vertically, however, some of them have been "accidentally" removed (not sure by whom, but it's not important). When I try to reinsert a grid in place of the missing one, it will not allow me to name the grid bubble as the previous one as it says the number/letter exists and must be unique.
The grid line is not hidden and the others are turned on. I can't figure out what has happened are they deleted or just hidden somewhere? How do I resolve this?
Thanks, Eldon | | | |

Do the grid lines show up on other views? They may be on a workset that has been turned off. _______________ Elliot J. Pleitez |

Hi and thanks,
I checked another view, and yes they are visible, the missing ones were on an incorrect workset.
I have put them back in the same workset as the others and ensured they are visible in all views, but they are still not appearing in the original view??
I think I need a coffee.

The next step I'd review is to check if it has been turned off (Element Hide - EH). At the bottom you'll see a little blue light bulb, click on that and if you see it now then select the element/s and click on Unhide Element - EU. Once finished click on the Close button.
Yeah, it's been a long monday. _______________ Elliot J. Pleitez |

Hi
I checked that, it's very perplexing. They are definitely visible in all other views, except, the floor plan. I've checked
- to see if they are all the same workset - they are
- to see if they are hidden - they aren't
- ensured all worksets are visible - they are
Any other ideas, I am sure I am missing something obvious...
I am in Western Australia - it's the beeginning of a long Tuesday I think :-)

Go to elevation view and make sure the column grid extends all the way up and down |

Hi
Okay, problem resolved, the Interiors Dept had created some wall elevations and moved my grid lines in section/elevation in 3D and not 2D, so they were no longer visible in the plan!!
Thanks for your stirling efforts all the same.
Cheers, Eldon
ps coffee time :-) |
