what information do I need to put into my downloadable families

Hello everyone,

I am planning to bring a Revit ready library online in the next couple of months and need some feedback on what information you require.
As a user do you need complete purchase information, or is manufacturer, type, size and material enough? Do you need all the material maps to be attached, in a separate directory, and what format is the best to use? Would you like 2D plan images of the family in a separate layer, so that the layer can be switched on and off? Is it important for the prefix of the layers to be 3D and or 2D.
My plan is to provide the user with family design options, rather than having to download complete families for each design option. For example; an office chair that has a number of design options (different armrests, different types of starfoot, wheels or glides). The users would download the basic family model, and the required design options, enabling all types of that particular chair to be made. The required chair could then be grouped together for use in project. Is this a good idea?
The Revit ready library will include; office furniture (chairs, tables, cabinets etc.) – office accessories (bins, coat racks, clocks, vases etc.) – general accessories (printers, fax machines, flat screens etc) - lamps (hanging, wall mounted, free standing, table and desk) – Antique street lights, 9 different base types, 10 different luminaire types and other accessories, - Street furniture (benches, bus stops, bins, street lighting) – Cafe furniture (tables, chairs, benches, stools) – Designer furniture (chairs, tables, beds, sofas).
I have attached some images of the models.
I look forward to your feedback.

We would only need the basic information (manufacturer, type, size and material.)  I could see people more involved with interior design needing all the design options & purchase information.  And honestly - we wouldn't need all the different design options either.  If we get to the point of specing a particular chair we are using a designer anyways, so for our purposes just having a basic chair for plan representation / renderings would be more than enough.
