I'm fairly new using Revit and am having problems with getting the ceiling to be visable in my roof/truss plan. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get the hips, valleys and ridges, to show. I also know how to turn it invisable so I can get the trusses to show but getting the ceiling to show at all is one problem. The other is getting my door and window headers to show on the same plan. If there is any one that has the solusion to getting all three, ceiling, trusses and headers to show at the same time, I'd be very gratefull.
Thanks,
I know they tell us not to but most of my work is 1,500 to 1,800 sq. ft. homes and I draw in full 3D, the only things that are draw in 2D is my dimensions and normanclature. I've set the View Range for the drawing in hole and use the Plan Region on the walls, but that still isn't working. I also tryed using the using the Ceiling Plans and found that's about the best way to show what I need, but there's still limitations. There has to be a way to view all the window and door openings, to show the headers, trusses, and the hips, valleys and ridges on the roof in the same view. Last Edit on:6/3/2011 9:56:25 PM | | | |

From what I've gathered (I'm also new) you can add a symbolic line to your door / window families that will display in an RCP situation. You can also just manually draw lines in that view. Not sure which would be easier without looking at it. If you have 100's of doors I'd modify the family.
You can add spot slopes to your ceiling to show direction, just like you would a roof.
Do you want your ceiling to show up on your roof plan? I don't quite follow what you are after with that one...
