Spanish Tile

Hi Guys,

Has anybody got a good 2D or 3D hatch of Spanish Tile, and if so, how do you installing it on the roofs?  I know there out there some place, I've seen plans with them on it, but have yet to find out where they came from.

Thanks,

Dick

I've seen a 3D tile somewhare, but not sure where it was.

Please try on cadforum.cz there are plenty of revit families free of charge.

But i'm afraid it was at Archicad library where I saw Spanish Tile 3D & 2D model on the roof.

Please let me know if you find any Spanish - not flat tile - revit family.

I checked out Cadfourm, that's for AutoCad, I'm using Revit.  I should have stated that in my post, sorry about that.

So you've got correct 3d model of the tile and now only a few steps to conwert it to revit family. Try modify existing flat tile family to convert it to Spanish Tile. After a few hours of checking flexible modlel you will be very happy owner of a new revit family. Next time it will be faster. Don't worry be happy

I have attached a sloped glazing system for everyone to play with. just remeber there is a little house cleaning that needs added to make it perfect. but for a good looking tile here you go. also attached is a standing seam using the same method.

As for how to implement it just copy it to your project. then after your roof is made make a copy of your roof about 1" above the original roof then use the match type properties the after it is made adjust the height.. (see example files on this)

PS. this is in Revit 2011 I have a rougher version for older revit users. Just let me know.

I opened and looked at the tile file, looks great.  One other problem, how do I place it into a drawing?

Copy to clipboard and paste (I like to use a 3d view to paste it in once you use the match properties. just delete the pasted one

Thanks....!

Love it.

I made individual tiles 4 years ago, caps & pans...looked amazing, but as soon as I put them on a decent sized house, the views with the tile crawled, site, roof plan, elevations.....my first lesson in over modeling...

I havent tried them since, but they may be good for small areas or for where you want to add booster tiles....

These will crawl as well in some areas. how I fixed the goofy parts. is after the roof is created. I un-pinned the tiles that were crazy and just moved them or deleted the unessesary ones. (keep in mind if you move one too far you need my make the underneith texture the same color as the tile to hide the issues.

Anyway glad this helped out some people
