Design options allow Revit to display building elements through visibility graphic settings per view based on the design option that a building element has been assigned. Any elements that are unassigned will always be displayed, even when the design option for the view is changed. However, in order to get Revit to display the options correct, it must have at least 2 options to choose from. Therefore, we must create at least 2 options, one that will NOT be used called "base bid," and the other called "option 1" etc. You do not need to assign building elements to the "base bid" option (I don't think yet), only elements that will be apart of an alternate/option. Rooms can/should be assigned to options, but their corresponding tags do not (when the room doesn't appear in an option, the tag dissappears as well.)
