Plan Region

In a plan view, Revit allows the user to define "plan regions" that will have a different "View Range" (cut plane, etc) than the rest of that particular view.

To create a "plan region" go to the View tab, and click on "Plan Region." Sketch the area that you want to redefine. You can define the "view range" by clicking on "Region Properties" while still in sketch mode, or by selecting the plan region after it has been inserted editing the "element properties."
